Use Acquestor in ChatGPT

Not yet tested with Acquestor in this host. These steps follow the host's own documentation as of 2026-10-06.

Add Acquestor to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server. You sign in to Acquestor through OAuth; ChatGPT doesn't accept API keys for custom servers.

Which plans. OpenAI's help center says custom MCP servers ("full MCP" and developer mode) are available to ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu on the web, and doesn't list Plus or Pro. A directory listing, which would reach other plans, is planned for Acquestor's public launch.

Business, Enterprise and Edu#

A workspace admin first allows custom MCP servers:

Then:

  1. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, press + and choose Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Acquestor and enter the server URL https://mcp.acquestor.com/mcp.
  3. Choose OAuth for authentication.
  4. Read OpenAI's warning about custom servers and continue, then create it.
  5. Install it and sign in to Acquestor with the email your invitation went to.
  6. In a chat, mention @Acquestor and ask a question.

ChatGPT asks before running any tool that isn't marked read-only. Acquestor's inquiry tool also waits for your confirmation on acquestor.com before anything is sent.

When Acquestor adds tools, use Refresh on the server's page in ChatGPT to load them.

Try it#

Working on a deal#

ChatGPT sees none of your deals until you grant one. On acquestor.com, open the deal, turn on outside AI access and pick ChatGPT.

Using the OpenAI API instead#

Developers can call the server from the Responses API with an API key. See agents and APIs.
