Acquestor developer docs
Answers about a deal, with a source and a date on every number.
Acquestor answers the questions a business-for-sale listing raises: what an SBA lender can finance, how the deal holds up if earnings fall, what a seller keeps after tax, and which lenders made SBA acquisition loans in that industry and state. The same answers reach you two ways:
- The REST API at
https://api.acquestor.com/v1. Deal answers as JSON. - The MCP server at
https://mcp.acquestor.com/mcp. The same operations as tools in Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or your own agent.
Both run the same code. An MCP tool is an API operation; its result is that operation's response, with a text rendering for the AI host to read.
Here is the SBA price ceiling for $400,000 of SDE, as the API returned it on Oct 10, 2026 (trimmed). Every figure points to its source, and every source carries its date:

}What every response promises#
Every value carries its source and as-of date. A number in a response is a Figure: its value, its unit and a pointer to a dated source. A computed number points to the computation, which lists its inputs as Figures in turn, so any number traces back to a public record, a document page, a rule or something you entered. When data doesn't exist, the response carries a gap that says so. Acquestor never fills a gap with an estimate.
Who can use it during the beta#
Acquestor is in a founding-broker beta: invited brokers and the buyers they invite. Public sign-up waits for the public launch.
| You are | REST API | MCP server |
|---|---|---|
| A founding broker | An API key from your account page | Sign in from your AI host, or use your API key |
| A buyer or seller invited by a broker | Not during the beta | Sign in from your AI host |
| A developer outside the beta | Not yet | Not yet |
Everything is free during the beta, within a monthly credit allowance. The prices that start at public launch are on the credits page.

Where to start#
- Quickstart: your first call, and how to read what comes back.
- MCP server: add Acquestor to Claude, ChatGPT or Grok.
- The source field: Figures, sources, computations and gaps.
What Acquestor doesn't do#
These tools inform. None acts for a buyer or seller, and none values a business. Acquestor never contacts a seller, and an inquiry goes only to the listing broker. Acquestor takes no fee on any deal.
Information, not advice. Check it with your lender, CPA or attorney before you rely on it.
